Are you a Class 5 driver with spreading and transporting heavy machinery experience? Tracks, based in Whakatane, is looking for you! We are a dynamic and growing company, committed to delivering top-notch civil construction solutions across Eastern Bay of Plenty.
Position: Class 5 Driver
Location: Whakatane, New Zealand
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Class 5 vehicles.
- Execute spreading operations efficiently and accurately.
- Transport heavy machinery adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Load and unload machinery with precision and care.
- Conduct pre-start vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are maintained in excellent condition.
- Keep the vehicle in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and comply with company policies and safety procedures.
- Perform site hazard assessments and implement control measures as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with proven experience in spreading and transporting heavy machinery.
- Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers (WTR) endorsement.
- BESS qualification preferred.
- Strong understanding of traffic and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa/permit.
